Helina Girmay

Helina Girmay has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the technology and digital lending industry.

Starting in 2018, they worked as a Full-stack Developer at Gebeya Inc. before moving on to become a Software Engineer at GebeyaNet Technologies in 2019. Later that year, they joined Med Group Holding as a Frontend Web Developer and Product Designer.

In 2020, Helina worked as a Frontend Developer and Product Designer at RoblexET. Helina then transitioned to the role of Frontend Developer at Two F Capital in 2021.

Continuing their career in product development, Helina became a Technical Product Owner at Kifiya Financial Technology PLC in 2021. Helina later took on the role of Technical Product Owner at CHE GROUP ETHIOPIA in 2022, where they managed the development of the first-ever super app in Ethiopia, overseeing tasks such as UI/UX design, user story creation, and product backlog management.

In 2023, Helina worked as a Technical Project Manager at Dodai, responsible for managing project timelines and the recruitment process. Helina also served as a Project Manager at IIInigence, and subsequently as a Technical Product Manager at Qena Digital lending.

Helina Girmay obtained a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from Addis Ababa University, where they studied from 2014 to 2019. In addition to their degree, they have also acquired several additional certifications. These certifications include Technical Product Management from the Project Management Institute, UX Foundation: Research from LinkedIn, Learn Git Course from Codecademy, Dev/Ops Engineer from Gebeya Inc., and Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from Scrum Alliance.
