Wilber Chao

Wilber Chao has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Wilber currently holds the position of Principal Engineer at iKala since April 2023. Before that, they worked at Shopee as a Senior Software Engineer from October 2021 to April 2023, where they successfully improved user satisfaction, remodeled legacy notification structures, and reduced storage and computation load. Prior to Shopee, they were a Senior Backend Developer at MoMagic Technologies Pvt. Ltd. from January 2018 to February 2021, where they built a data pipeline and customer data platform, leading to significant improvements in product evolvability and response time. Wilber also worked as a Devops & Backend Developer at Quadas\u4eac\u7eac\u6570\u636e from October 2016 to October 2017 and as a Big data engineer at Vpon Inc from October 2014 to October 2016. Their early work experience includes a stint as a Product Manager at Appuniverz from October 2011 to December 2012.

Wilber Chao received their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Tatung University in the period of 2007 to 2011. Wilber then pursued their Master's degree in Computer Science from National Tsing Hua University from 2011 to 2013.
