Virginia Medina has extensive experience in marketing, communications, and public relations, holding various leadership positions throughout their career. Currently serving as Local Marketing Manager at IKEA since June 2007, Virginia has previously contributed to IKEA Ibérica as Marketing and Communication & Interior Design Manager from 2003 to 2007. Earlier roles include Directora de Marketing y Relaciones Externas at BILBAO Ría 2000 and Gerente de Comunicación Externa at ONO. Virginia's career also includes significant positions in public relations, journalism, and communications, notably as Directora del Departamento de Comunicación Corporativa at Ketchum Public Relations and Responsable de las Relaciones con los Medios at Deloitte & Touche. Virginia began their career in journalism at Diario La República and worked as Jefa de Prensa de la Primera Dama in the Government of Costa Rica. Academic qualifications include a Licenciada en Ciencias de la Información (Journalism) and a Máster en Periodismo from Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea.
