Clémentine Pescheteau

Junior Scientist - Organic Chemist in Robotics Lab at Iktos

Clémentine Pescheteau has a diverse work experience in the field of chemistry. Clémentine started their career as an Operator in the industry at RB in 2016. Following this, they worked as a Stagiaire en laboratoire de Biochimie et Chimie médicinale at the University of Glasgow in 2017. During their time there, they gained experience in synthesizing sugars and heterocycles for antisense oligonucleotide formation, as well as purification and characterization of molecules.

In 2018, Clémentine joined Sanofi as a Stagiaire en laboratoire de Recherche industrielle - Chimie médicinale. Here, they acquired knowledge in medicinal chemistry and conducted research in the industrial laboratory.

From 2018 to 2021, Clémentine worked as a Doctorante en Chimie organique et médicinale at the Institut de Chimie Organique et Analytique - ICOA UMR7311. During this time, they focused on the design and synthesis of heterocycles inhibitors of kinases DYRK1A/CLK1, which are implicated in Alzheimer's disease. Clémentine utilized various synthetic techniques such as SNAr reactions, nucleophilic substitutions, formation of boronic esters, Suzuki-Miyaura and Buchwald-Hartwig couplings, peptide coupling, metathesis reactions, and PROTAC formation. Clémentine also supervised interns and taught practical and theoretical courses in organic chemistry and mathematics.

In 2022, Clémentine worked as a Post-doctorante en chimie bioorganique at CEA, further enhancing their expertise in the field.

Currently, Clémentine is working as a Junior Scientist - Organic Chemist in the Robotics Lab at Iktos. Their role involves utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) for medicinal chemistry and contributing to the development of a fully automated AI-driven synthetic platform for accelerated drug discovery.

Clémentine Pescheteau's education history includes the following:

- From 2015 to 2018, Clémentine attended Chimie ParisTech - PSL, where they obtained a Diplôme d'ingénieur in the field of Chemistry.

- In 2017 and 2018, they also studied at Université Paris Cité, earning a Master 2 (M2) degree in Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology.

- Prior to that, from 2012 to 2015, Clémentine attended CPGE - Classes préparatoires aux grandes écoles, specializing in Physical Chemistry and Mathematics.

- Clémentine completed their secondary education at Lycée Emile Zola de Châteaudun from 2009 to 2012, obtaining a Baccalauréat scientifique degree.

- Presently, Clémentine is pursuing a Doctorate in Organic Chemistry at Université d'Orléans, starting in 2018 and expected to finish in 2021.
