Ron Melka

Ron Melka is an experienced leader in the nonprofit sector, currently serving as the Executive Director of the Lyons Township Community Mental Health Commission since January 2013, where responsibilities include managing activities in accordance with the Illinois Community Mental Health Act. Melka also holds a position as an adjunct professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology's Stuart Business School, specializing in nonprofit courses. Previous roles include Business Manager and Grant Writer at Aunt Martha's Youth Service Center, President & CEO of the United Way of Illinois, and Executive Director of Youth In Crisis/Youth Crossroads, demonstrating a strong background in program management, fundraising, and policy advocacy. Melka has successfully secured substantial grants and funding throughout the career while holding influence in various organizations dedicated to community health and youth services. Melka earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
