Katie Craft

Katie Craft is an experienced forensic scientist specializing in toxicology, currently serving with the Illinois State Police Investigations since March 2017. In this role, Katie analyzes evidence for volatiles and drugs using advanced scientific techniques and instrumentation such as GC/MS and LC/MS. Prior to this position, Katie worked at AbbVie as a Certified Pharmacy Operations Technician II, where responsibilities included training new technicians and managing pharmacist communications. Additionally, experience as a Senior Certified Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens involved leading training programs and managing insurance chargebacks. Earlier roles included laboratory work at the United States Drug Testing Laboratories, where Katie prepared and extracted specimens for drug analysis. Katie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Chicago State University.
