TJ Hengesbach

TJ Hengesbach serves as the Inspector General for the Illinois Tollway since November 2015, bringing extensive experience in legal counsel and oversight from prior roles. Notably, as Deputy Inspector General for the City of Chicago from October 2005 to April 2015, TJ provided guidance on investigations and compliance for city operations. Earlier positions include General Counsel at the Office of Executive Inspector General for the State of Illinois and Assistant Corporation Counsel in the City of Chicago's Law Department, focusing on labor and personnel practices. TJ began a legal career as a Staff Attorney at the United States District Court, following a law clerk role with Magistrate Judge Martin Ashman.
