Marc Martin Casas

Marc Martin Casas has a diverse work experience in the field of biotech and genomics. Marc is currently the Head of Illumina Ventures Labs - US at Illumina Ventures, where they are responsible for creating and investing in early-stage startups in genomics. Prior to this, Marc held various roles at Biotech Connection - Bay Area, Inc., including President, Board of Directors, and Project Manager. Marc also served as the Head of Illumina Accelerator and Seed Investments and Development at Illumina. Marc has worked as a Program Manager at Rare Genomics Institute and as a Summer Associate at Lam Research. Marc gained experience as an Analyst at EVEXIA Bio Fund and as a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of California, Berkeley. Marc started their career as a Researcher at UCL.

Marc Martin Casas has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Marc also completed the Management of Technology Innovation Program at the Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, UC Berkeley. Additionally, they hold a Master's Degree in Biochemical Engineering from UCL and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biotechnology from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
