Jeff Rucker

Jeff Rucker is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in firmware development and project management. Currently serving as a Principal Engineer 1 at Illumina since April 2019, Jeff has also held the positions of Associate Director and Senior Manager in Engineering, overseeing the instrument firmware team. Prior experience includes directing project management at Systech, where responsibilities encompassed the introduction of new embedded systems platforms with various connectivity options. Jeff's earlier roles included consulting positions at Life Technologies, Harris Corporation, and Meade Instruments, focusing on developing embedded systems and firmware solutions. Jeff Rucker earned a BA in Computer Science from UC San Diego and completed high school with a focus on Mathematics at Mar Vista High School.
