Michael Ramirez, PMP has over 17 years of work experience in various roles. Michael is currently serving as the Director of Project Management at Illustrative Mathematics, where they lead and manages a team of project managers to execute cross-departmental projects. Michael Ramirez, PMP, obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas-Pan American, which they completed between 2006 and 2008. Prior to that, they also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Early Childhood Education from the same university, which they completed between 2001 and 2003. Additionally, Ramirez attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1997 to 2000 to study Mechanical Engineering, although they did not complete a degree at that institution. In terms of certifications, Ramirez obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in February 2018.
