Jouko Pölönen

Jouko Pölönen is the current President and CEO at Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company. Jouko has held this position since April of 2018.

Previously, Jouko Pölönen worked at OP Financial Group from January 2009 to April 2018 as the EVP of Banking. Prior to that, from January 2001 to December 2008, they worked as the Chief Risk Officer for Pohjola Bank plc.

Jouko Pölönen started their career at PwC in January 1993 and stayed there until December 2001. Jouko worked as an auditor and was authorised as a Public Accountant in 1999.

Jouko Pölönen has an eMBA from the University of Jyväskylä, and is also an Authorised Public Accountant from the Central Chamber of Commerce. Jouko has a M.Sc. Econ. & Bus. Adm. in Accounting from Helsingin kauppakorkeakoulu, and a Vocational Qualification in Business and Administration from Joensuu Business College. Jouko Pölönen is also a Upper secondary school graduate from Tohmajärvi Upper Secondary School.
