Engineering Manager at Image Sensing Systems

Jeff Klein has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jeff began their career as a Web Developer at Spectrum Design Group from 1999 to 2001, where they designed websites, developed functional web pages, and managed projects and a small team.

Jeff then joined the University of Minnesota in 2006 as a Graduate Research Assistant, where they conducted research until 2014.

In 2014, Jeff transitioned to Honeywell as a Research Scientist/Engineer III, working on a variety of programs in Honeywell Labs. During their time at Honeywell, they held various roles such as Lead R&D Engineer/Scientist and Research Scientist/Engineer IV. Jeff'sresponsibilities included advancing programs in fuel cells, water extraction devices, smart water valves, and sensing for the mining industry, among others. Jeff led technical teams and subcontractors, authored multiple patents, and played a leadership role in proposal writing for DARPA-funded projects.

Most recently, in 2022, Jeff joined Image Sensing Systems, Inc. as an Engineering Manager.

Jeff Klein received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Physics and Computer Science from Cornell College in the years 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they studied Computer Science at Northwestern University from 2001 to 2003. Jeff went on to obtain their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics from the University of Minnesota, completing their studies from 2006 to 2014.
