Rene Bonin

Chief People Officer at Imagen Dental Partners

Rene Bonin has a diverse work experience spanning various leadership roles in the field of human resources. Starting in 2000, Rene worked as a Human Resources Generalist at WilmerHale, where they handled full-cycle recruiting, employee relations, performance management, policy administration, and compensation support. Rene also served as the Affirmative Action Lead, responsible for designing and implementing diversity practices.

In 2006, Rene joined Iron Mountain as a Human Resources Manager, supporting 500 union and non-union employees across San Diego, Arizona, and Nevada. Rene focused on driving organizational effectiveness, talent assessment and development, performance management, compensation, recruiting, compliance, and employee relations and labor relations strategies.

From 2008 to 2012, Rene progressed within Iron Mountain, first as a Regional Director of Human Resources, overseeing support for 3,000 employees across 10 states. Rene led a team of 25 HR Managers, Recruiters, and Administrators and maintained petition-free union relations in all 10 states. Subsequently, they became a Vice President, Human Resources Business Partnerships, where they partnered with business leaders of the company's largest business line to orchestrate a significant restructuring effort. Rene supported 8,000 employees in the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico.

In 2015, Rene transitioned to the position of Vice President, Enterprise Learning and Development at Iron Mountain. Rene developed talent, performance management, and learning and development strategies on a global scale, expanding performance management Workday processes to Western Europe and configuring the Workday talent module for improved talent insights and analytics. From 2016 to 2018, Rene undertook a high visibility executive assignment as the VP of Organizational Development & Change Management, Global Shared Services. In this role, they collaborated with leaders in multiple regions on business planning, organizational design, workforce reductions, change communications, and technology implementations to transform enterprise support functions into a global shared services model.

Rene then joined Vixxo in 2018 as the Chief Human Resources Officer, responsible for leading the people and culture strategy of the company. During their tenure, their team executed a comprehensive strategy that improved associate engagement, reduced voluntary turnover, and increased the Glassdoor rating. In 2019, they were promoted to the role of Chief People and Transformation Officer, where they led the people, strategy, and transformation teams. Rene played a crucial role in combining technology and analytics to facilitate technology-enabled asset management and business insights, positioning Vixxo as a leader in the industry.

In 2020, Rene joined Imagen Dental Partners as the Vice President, People and Culture. In May 2021, they were promoted to the role of Chief People Officer, where they continue to contribute their expertise in driving the people-related initiatives of the company.

Rene Bonin obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Philosophy from Boston University. In 2008, they also obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from HRCI. Furthermore, in 2012, they received the Cornell University Advanced HR Certification from Cornell University ILR School.
