Steve Lidbury has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple industries and roles.

Steve is currently working at Imagination as the Executive Creative Director for UK and Europe. Prior to this, from 2021 to 2022, they worked as the Executive Creative Director & Consultant, specializing in creative entrepreneurship, design, business leadership, culture cultivation, and thought leadership.

From 2015 to 2021, Lidbury served as the Executive Principal at Eight Inc. in London, leading a team of strategic designers and business creatives to deliver human-centric experiences for renowned brands.

Lidbury also has experience at Imagination as the European Creative Director for the Luxury Automotive Group from 2010 to 2015. During their tenure, they led a multidisciplinary design team and established the brand as experiential partners for iconic brands in the automotive sector.

Prior to that, from 2008 to 2010, Lidbury worked as the Design Director for tp bennett, focusing on the development of the practice's retail, hospitality, and leisure sectors.

In 2005, Lidbury started their own design studio, SLD Design Inc., where they specialized in cross-sector, multidisciplinary design projects in Japan and China. Before that, they co-founded the start-up design studio, Postnormal in 2001, where they worked collaboratively and independently in various sectors.

Lidbury's earlier experiences include working as a Creative Design Consultant at PAE Design & Facility Management and as a Designer at Fabrica Research & Design Centre, where they explored experimental and anti-disciplinary design approaches.

Steve Lidbury attended Ravensbourne University London from 1995 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (hons) Degree in Interior Architecture & The Built Environment. Steve then pursued a Masters Degree in Interior Architecture at Birmingham University of Central England from 1998 to 1999.
