Shawn Ward

Shawn Ward has an extensive work experience in the field of software engineering and management. Shawn is currently the Head of Engineering at Impact, where they lead a high-performing team in developing a SaaS platform for the film and TV industry. Shawn'sresponsibilities include strategic planning, execution, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Prior to their current role, Shawn worked at OpenTable as the Senior Director of Software Engineering, where they recruited and mentored engineers, led the development of restaurant products, and ensured agile engineering excellence. Shawn also held the positions of Director of Software Engineering and Senior Software Engineering Manager at OpenTable.

Before joining OpenTable, Shawn was employed at Gannett Digital as a Senior Software Engineering Manager. Shawn was responsible for building cross-functional teams, directing scrum activities, making architectural decisions, and developing product strategies.

Shawn also has experience as a Software Development Manager at Dewberry and as a Lead Software Engineer at NGP Software (now NGP VAN). In their role at NGP Software, they led the development of a SaaS platform using various technologies.

Earlier in their career, Shawn served as the Manager of Software Engineering at Chemonics International, Inc. where they recruited and managed a team of 15 individuals and played a crucial role in building an agile culture within the organization.

Throughout their work experience, Shawn has demonstrated their ability to lead teams, drive innovation, and maintain high-quality standards in software engineering.

Shawn Ward completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Penn State University, which they pursued from 1991 to 1993. In 2012, they obtained a certificate in High Performance Leadership from Cornell University. In addition to their formal education, they also hold a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance, which they obtained in February 2014.
