Carolina Pinart

Carolina Pinart, Ph.D., currently serves as Group Head of R&D Information Technology (AVP) at Nestlé since June 2017, leading digital transformation initiatives for the world's largest food and beverage company. Carolina co-founded and leads the Barcelona Innovation Outpost, focusing on AI exploration and innovation skills in Europe. In addition to this role, Carolina is the Global AI Strategy Program Lead and has previously acted as the IT Innovation Stream Lead at the Barcelona IT Hub and Global Product Director for New Generation Technologies. Alongside these commitments, Carolina is actively involved as an IMAGINE Leader, an Angel Investor at Gloop, a member of the Scientific Advisory Board at CTTC, and a Business Angel with WA4STEAM. A former expert evaluator for Horizon Europe, Carolina has advised startups such as LactApp and served as a teaching advisor at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and a masterclass lecturer at Barcelona Technology School. Carolina holds a Ph.D. in Telecommunications Engineering and has completed multiple leadership and AI-related programs at prestigious institutions.
