Yalia Jayalakshmi

Yalia Jayalakshmi, Ph.D. (Jaya) is a biopharmaceutical executive with over 25 years of industry experience in the clinical translation of a wide spectrum of drug, device, nanoparticle delivery and diagnostic imaging product candidates in oncology, ophthalmology and other therapeutic areas. Jaya joined Imagion Biosystems in September 2021 and will be leading their global clinical development strategy and execution, while helping shape Imagion¹s overall strategic direction. As head of clinical development at OncoNano Medicine Inc. she built the clinical function and progressed the lead candidate, an intraoperative imaging agent for cancer surgery into the clinic. Her previous experience includes R&D and product team leadership at Johnson and Johnson PRD, Genentech, Onyx Pharma, and Cygnus. Jaya received her Ph.D. in Physics from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and postdoctoral training at ENS, Paris and the University of Delaware, Newark.
