David Dermer

David Dermer is a seasoned freelance photographer with a focus on sports and news photography. Since April 2016, David has contributed to The Associated Press by capturing and transmitting images from various professional and college sporting events. David's extensive experience includes roles with USA TODAY Sports Images and the Cleveland Browns, where responsibilities involve assisting team photographers and overseeing image transmission for multiple assignments. Other notable collaborations include work with the Denver Broncos, Tribune Chronicle, Youngstown State University, Record Courier, Star Beacon, and Plain Dealer Publishing Co. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism & Mass Communication with a concentration in Photojournalism from Kent State University, and participated in foundational education at Lakeview High School.
