Ben Lanz

Ben Lanz has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Ben began their career as a Hardware & Software Engineer at IMCORP in May 1997 and worked in that role until May 1999. Following this, they served as a Project Manager at IMCORP from May 1999 to January 2001. Moving up in the company, they then became a Sr. Application Engineer from January 2001 to January 2008. From January 2008 to September 2020, Ben worked as the Manager of Applications Engineering at IMCORP, where they oversaw the implementation of Factory Grade(R) assessments and played a crucial role in solving transmission and distribution reliability challenges. Subsequently, they assumed the role of Director, Technology & Test Systems Availability at IMCORP from September 2020 to August 2021. Currently, they are serving as the Director of Strategy & Development at IMCORP starting from August 2021.

In addition to their work at IMCORP, Ben Lanz has contributed to the Power Delivery Intelligence Initiative. Ben joined the organization as an Executive Board Member in July 2018 and currently holds the position of Chairman of the Board, which they assumed in January 2021 and will continue until January 2023.

Before their tenure at IMCORP, they worked at Lighting Management Inc. (LMI) as an Electrician/Estimator from June 1991 to January 1997.

Overall, Ben Lanz has exhibited a strong background in engineering and management roles, with a focus on applications engineering and technical oversight in the field of cable systems.

Ben Lanz attended the University of Connecticut from 1994 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
