Catherine Middag

Catherine Middag is a seasoned researcher with extensive experience in the fields of artificial intelligence and speech processing. Currently serving as a Senior Researcher at imec since July 2023, Catherine previously held similar roles at UZ Gent and imec. Prior to these positions, Catherine contributed to academics at Erasmushogeschool Brussel as a Senior Researcher in Artificial Intelligence and Program Director of a postgraduate program. Academic tenure includes a Postdoctoral Researcher role at Ghent University, focusing on the automatic analysis of pathological speech. Education includes a PhD in Engineering from Ghent University and a master's degree in physics from the same institution, further complemented by foundational studies at Heilig Hartinstituut Halle.
