Kim Luyckx

Domain Lead Health at imec

Kim Luyckx has a diverse work experience. Kim is currently working at imec as a Domain Lead in Health, starting in 2023. Prior to that, they were a Senior Project Manager in Public Health at imec from 2022 to 2023. Kim also worked at BlueHealth Innovation Fund as a Portfolio Manager from 2020 to 2022, where they managed the investment portfolio of the fund. Kim was also a Fund Coordinator on behalf of Empiria BV during their time at BlueHealth Innovation Fund.

Kim Luyckx was also involved with Empiria BV consultancy as a Business Owner starting in 2023. Kim held a position as a Member of the Board of Directors at HeiligHartziekenhuis Lier from 2022 onwards. Kim continues to contribute as an Advisory Board Member at TEXTUA, a core facility for text mining at the University of Antwerp. Furthermore, they worked as a Regional Manager in Antwerp at BlueHealth Innovation Center-supported by Microsoft from 2020 to 2022.

Kim'searlier work experiences include positions at UZA from 2012 to 2019, where they held various roles such as Consultant at BlueHealth Innovation Center, Project Lead, IT Project Lead, and Operations Manager of biomina. Kim was also involved with the University of Antwerp as an Associate Researcher and as a PhD student in Computational Linguistics. Additionally, they worked as a Lecturer at the Information and Communication Science department of the Université Libre de Bruxelles and as a Researcher at the University of Antwerp.

Kim Luyckx has a diverse education history. In 2005 to 2010, they obtained a PhD in Computational Linguistics from the University of Antwerp. In 2021, they pursued a Postgraduate Degree in AI Business Architect at Hogeschool PXL. The same year, they also participated in an Interfaculty and interdisciplinary program in Healthcare Innovation at Université libre de Bruxelles. In 2019, Kim completed the H-Impact, Health Innovation & Entrepreneurship Program at Ghent University and the Clinical leadership program at Antwerp Management School. In 2018, they completed a Self-leadership program at Vlerick Business School. Earlier, from 2002 to 2004, Kim earned an MA in Computational Linguistics & Linguistics (English/Dutch) and a Teaching degree (\"aggregaat\") in Teaching (English and Dutch) from the University of Antwerp. They also hold a BA in Linguistics & Literature (English/Dutch) from the same university, which they obtained from 2000 to 2002. Additionally, Kim has obtained several certifications throughout their career, including Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP-E6R2) from UZA in 2019, and other certifications related to OpenClinica and project management.
