Stefaan van Biesen

Stefaan Van Biesen currently serves as an Anesthesiologist-Intensivist at Imeldaziekenhuis Bonheiden since March 2023. Previously, Stefaan held the positions of Diensthoofd Intensieve Zorgen and Anesthesiologist-Intensivist at az Sint-Blasius from November 2020 to March 2023. Prior experience includes Fellow Intensieve Geneeskunde roles at AMC - Academisch Medisch Centrum and OLVG, as well as residency in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at UZ Leuven and OLV Ziekenhuis Aalst-Asse-Ninove. Stefaan began medical training at KU Leuven, where a Master of Medicine degree was obtained in 2014, along with research experience in Experimental Cardiac Surgery. Leadership experience includes serving as Vice-voorzitter at Bloedserieus from 2010 to 2011 and working in laboratory capacities at Medisch Labo Medina.
