Philippe Benchetrit

Philippe Benchetrit currently serves as the Technical Expertise Manager for the Center of Excellence at Imerys Performance Minerals Europe, a position held since January 2011. In this role, Philippe leads a team of 12 technical experts focused on supporting industrial operations across process, energy, and carbon management, as well as mechanical and electrical engineering and industrial IT. Philippe is responsible for implementing a carbon emissions reduction roadmap aligned with a 1.5° trajectory. Prior to Imerys, Philippe held various managerial positions at Lhoist from 2003 to 2010, including Energy & Capex Manager and Corporate Energy Manager, where responsibilities encompassed managing industrial projects and the production department at the Sorcy plant in France. Philippe holds an Engineer's degree in Process & Chemical Engineering from Ecole nationale supérieure des industries chimiques, earned between 1991 and 1994.
