Rafael Sarmiento

Rafael Sarmiento has a diverse and extensive work experience in the construction industry. Rafael is currently serving as the Project Execution Director EMEA at Calderys, leading project execution teams for various projects. Prior to this, they held the same role at Imerys. From 2020 to 2021, Rafael worked as a Freelance Consultant, providing expertise in asset management and international arbitration processes.

Rafael's earlier experience includes their tenure at SACYR, where they served as Director of Operations and was responsible for managing multiple projects in Florida, USA. Rafael also worked as the CEO Program Manager, Area Manager, Sr. Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Civil Works Manager on the Panama Canal Expansion Program. Before joining SACYR, Rafael worked at ACCIONA as a Senior Engineer, Section Manager, and Assistant Project Manager.
