Urban A. Kiernan

Urban A. Kiernan is the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of iMetabolic Biopharma Corporation. Urban has over 20 years of experience in the biotechnology industry, including business development, management, and consulting.

Kiernan began their career as a Chemist with PRACS Institute, Ltd. in January 1998. Urban then became a Managing Partner at UK Bio-Science Consulting, LLC. In August 2000, they took on the role of Director of Biomarker Discovery at Intrinsic Bioprobes, Inc.

In September 2011, Kiernan joined Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Business Development Manager for their Liquid Consumables Division (LCD). Urban was responsible for the Mass Spectrometric Immunoassay (MSIA) Initiative within LCD. In this role, Kiernan worked closely with cross divisional teams to ensure that business strategies were effectively implemented while maintaining excellent relationships with both customers and colleagues. Kiernan left Thermo Fisher Scientific in July 2016 to start iMetabolic Biopharma Corporation.

Urban A. Kiernan's educational career includes a Ph.D. in Bio-Analytical Chemistry from Arizona State University, a Master of Science in Chemistry from Arizona State University, and a BA in Chemistry from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
