Paul Fairless

Paul Fairless has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Paul started their career as a Developer at Logica, where they contributed to the delivery of one of the UK's first online mobile phone service companies. Paul then joined IS Solutions Plc as a Developer, working on e-commerce projects for large clients. At Sky, Paul held multiple roles, including Developer, Senior Developer, and R&D Team Lead at Sky News. During their time at Sky, they were involved in the ground-up re-write of Sky News' digital publishing system and website, as well as leading a team that explored innovative ways to use technology in news storytelling. Paul was also a founding member and CTO of Endource Limited, responsible for defining the technical strategy and building the technical team of a fashion aggregation site. Currently, they are working at IMG ARENA as the VP of Technology - Core Services, overseeing a department of around 50 engineers and focusing on platform engineering, QA, security, and other essential capabilities for delivery. Throughout their career, Paul has demonstrated expertise in technology leadership, agile practices, DevOps, cloud engineering, and building talented teams.

Paul Fairless attended Newcastle University from 1997 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science.
