Riyad Najada

Senior GIS Officer at iMMAP

Riyad Najada is a senior GIS officer in based in Amman, Jordan. He holds numerous responsibilities, including coordinating and managing GIS resources and assignments, thematic mapping, geospatial statistics, analysis, and remote sensing.

Prior to joining iMMAP, Riyad was heavily involved in the geodetic survey and highway surveys, working with multiple entities in Jordan, such as the Royal Jordanian Geographic Center and the Ministry of Public Works and Housing. After six years in the surveying industry, Riyad then transitioned to production management, spending seven years working for media agencies in both Egypt and Jordan. In March 2008, Riyad started working in the humanitarian sector as a project manager for Jordan’s Rosaleen Integrated Solutions. Throughout his nine-year stay at Rosaleen, Riyad used his project management expertise to develop and manage multiple projects on behalf of various NGOs.

Riyad holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology and Computing from AOU, a Master’s Degree in Geographic Information Systems from Regional Center for Space Science and Technology Education for Western Asia/United Nations, “Mutah University”, and a Diploma in Survey Engineering from the Royal Jordanian Geographic Center. Riyad is also a certified Project Management Professional.
