Vivek Krishnakumar

Vivek Krishnakumar has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Vivek is currently employed as a Senior Software Engineer at Immersa. Previously, they co-founded and worked as a developer at BetterDays, an online community focused on chronic illnesses. At BetterDays, Vivek built a proof-of-concept using Angular and MongoDB, upgraded the backend architecture using NestJS, and implemented various features including search functionality, push notifications, and email integrations.

Before their time at BetterDays, Vivek co-founded Syndio Health and worked as a developer. Vivek was also an intern at Oracle, where they worked on a web application built with Ruby on Rails. Additionally, Vivek worked as a Research Specialist at the University of Illinois at Chicago and as a Research and Development Engineer at Amadeus IT Group. Vivek was responsible for developing various tools and applications, such as a location-sharing app and a payment gateway traffic monitoring tool.

Earlier in their career, Vivek worked as a Software Engineer at NTT DATA Americas, where they contributed to the redesign of a web content management system. Overall, Vivek has demonstrated their skills in software development, architecture upgrades, and feature implementation throughout their work experience.

Vivek Krishnakumar pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University, starting in 2009 and completing in 2013. Vivek later attended the University of Illinois Chicago, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Computer Science between 2015 and 2017.
