Shannon Glenn has extensive work experience in design and creative roles. Shannon started their career as a Studio Manager at Sylko Pty Ltd in 2001 and later worked as a Senior Designer at In-Detail Advertising and Design from 2003 to 2010. Shannon then started their own design agency, Pure Graphic Design cc., where they worked as the Owner from 2010 to 2016. Shannon then joined Halo Advertising as a Freelance Finished Artist and Designer from 2014 to 2016. Shannon's next role was as Creative Director at Yellow Pages SA, where they eventually transitioned into the role of Digital Manager of Trudon. From 2016 to 2019, Shannon managed the digital fulfillment team, customized and managed the Camilyo Design System, and focused on increasing production, profits, and revenue for the business. From 2019 to 2021, Shannon worked as a Senior UI Designer at Standard Bank Group. Currently, Shannon is working at Immersion Group, where they have held multiple roles including Lead UI Designer, Practice Lead: Creative, and Head of Design Operations. In their roles at Immersion Group, they have been responsible for recruitment, quality assurance, training and mentoring, and establishing preferred methods and practices for UI design projects in the Fintech and Insurance sectors.

Shannon Glenn has a diverse education history. In 2001, they obtained a B.Comm degree in Marketing from UNISA. Shannon later pursued additional certifications and courses to expand their knowledge and skills. In 2016, they completed a User Experience Design course from GetSmarter, followed by an Advanced Project Management certification from the same institution in 2018. Shannon also completed an Advanced Project Management Short Course and a Gambit Digital Strategy Course in 2018, offered by GetSmarter and Britefire respectively. Additionally, they have acquired various certifications, including Interaction Design: Software and Web Design Patterns, UX DesignOps: Working with Developers, and Figma for UX Design from LinkedIn. In 2001, they also obtained a Diploma in Desktop Publishing and Computer Graphics from Hirt & Carter.
