Isabelle Soule, PhD, RN has a diverse work experience in academia and program management. Since January 2019, they have been working as an Associate Professor at the University of Portland. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of the Immigrant Nurse Credentialing Program at the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization starting in March 2017. Isabelle also served as an Assistant Professor at OHSU from September 1998 and later became a Professor until June 2016. Isabelle Soule began their career as the Director of Transcultural Nursing at Linfield College School of Nursing in 1996, where they remained until 1999.
Isabelle Soule pursued their education from 2003 to 2010 at Oregon Health & Science University, earning a PhD degree. Isabelle'sfocus of study during this period included nursing, global health, and the development of cultural competence in healthcare education.

The Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO) is a non-profit organization established in 1974 to serve immigrants and refugees in Portland, Oregon. Since its founding, IRCO has served more than 55,000 people through provision of programs and services that meet needs related to training and employment, health and aging, English language learning, naturalization and adjustment, community development, early childhood, parenting and youth development, education and interpretation and translation.
