Marnie Hayes has extensive experience in the legal and immigration sectors, currently serving as a Panel Member at the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada since October 2018. Prior to this role, Marnie held positions as Manager of Clinic Learning and Development at both the Association of Community Legal Clinics of Ontario from July 2016 to October 2018 and Legal Aid Ontario from November 2008 to July 2016. Marnie's earlier experience includes serving as a Panel Member at the Immigration and Refugee Board from June 2003 to July 2006, Refugees and Migrants Program Coordinator at KAIROS from February 2002 to May 2003, and Community Legal Worker at Neighbourhood Legal Services from September 1994 to January 2002. Marnie holds a Master's degree in Adult Education with a focus on Social Justice Education from McGill University, earned between 2007 and 2010, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Development and Drama from the University of Guelph, completed from 1983 to 1986.
