Your Role at impact.com:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Designer to join our dynamic team.You'll be crucial in crafting, implementing, and amplifying design ideas for the impact.com brand. Your knack for developing campaign creatives, graphic assets, and marketing materials, paired with your passion for pushing design boundaries, will be key to your success.

A strong work ethic, confident personality, problem-solving prowess, and technical proficiency are vital for thriving in a fast-paced environment with complex challenges. Plus, your support and guidance for junior designers will help nurture a collaborative and growth-focused team culture.

What You'll Do:

  • Design high-quality, visually engaging assets including, but not limited to: digital advertising campaigns, video, storyboarding, social media graphics, brand identity materials, presentation decks, case studies, sell sheets, brochures, infographics, trade show materials, event signage, and event booth designs.
  • Collaborate closely with the design manager and broader design team as well as social media, content marketing, marketing projects, events, and demand generation teams to generate and execute concepts from design to finished product
  • Efficiently adapt and elevate creative concepts across diverse mediums, including print (Repro knowledge), social, display, email, and web
  • Develop and maintain design systems and style guides
  • Manage and execute digital and print projects in compliance with established brand standards
  • Present and participate in client/stakeholder-facing meetings with confidence
  • Build strong client and team relationships through preparation, expertise, and consistency
  • Act as an internal thought leader and champion for design thinking across the organization
  • Execute occasional conference calls in the early evening as needed to facilitate collaboration with US personnel. Your direct manager and designer colleagues are all based in Cape Town, along with several other Marketing teams. 
  • Excels creatively, maintains knowledge and awareness of ongoing trends and best practices in print and digital media
  • Shares best practices and new approaches to creative, branding, and user experience with other design personnel
  • Manage and mentor junior designers, interns, and freelancers
  • Develop and maintain a library of commonly used assets and design components
  • The role is a hybrid role, with occasional time required for in-office team meetings (Century City, Cape Town). An average guide would be 80% WFH, 20% in-office.

What You Have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in design or a related design field. The equivalent in work experience will be considered
  • 6+ years of creative services, design, branding, email, and direct mail marketing experience
  • Strong video editing and animation skills is essential
  • Previous business-to-business marketing experience required
  • Excellent computer skills including but not limited to: Adobe Creative Suite, G Suite, Figma, Asana, Google Slides
  • Mastery level capabilities of design concepts (colour, typography, scale, proportion)Knowledge and management skills to oversee all aspects of product marketing, including planning, design, and development
  • Knowledge and respect for working within corporate brand guidelines & keeping it up to date
  • Discretion, self-motivation, diplomacy, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically to produce new ideas and concepts and foster an environment to bring out the best in your colleagues in these areas
  • Strong understanding of print, creative development
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once and balance priorities
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and written skills, including presentation delivery
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and prioritize a varied workload in a fast-paced, unpredictable, and demanding environment; comfortable with ambiguity
  • Effective and clear written and verbal communication skills; a must to be effective in this position
  • Team leadership experience is advantageous. Guiding junior designers in the team as a mentor.
  • Responsibilities for overseeing projects from start to finish. 
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational/prioritization skills
