Fumi Sugeno is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in impact investment and social innovation. Currently serving as an Alumni Advisor at Impact Frontiers and the Chief of Impact Economy Lab at the Japan Social Innovation and Investment Foundation, Fumi develops strategies for empirical research and global partnership building to drive system change towards an Impact Economy. As a partner at Hataraku FUND, Fumi co-launched Japan's first impact investment venture capital fund focused on the care economy and sits on the Investment Committee. Previous roles include Head of Business Development at SIIF and Senior Officer at the Japan Social Impact Investment Foundation, where Fumi played a pivotal role in building the impact investment ecosystem in Japan. Fumi's background also includes consultancy at Japan Research Institute and risk analysis at Dexia Credit Local. Fumi holds a Master's degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from The University of Tokyo.
