Vice President - People & Culture I Road Freight Management at Imperial

Carmen Theron has extensive experience in the field of human resources, with a focus on people and culture. Carmen currently holds the position of Senior Vice President of People & Culture at Imperial, a DPW Company, since November 2022. Prior to this role, they served as Vice President of People & Culture for Road Freight Management at Imperial from July 2021. Carmen also worked as the Human Resources Director at Imperial from May 2018. Before joining Imperial, they held the role of Head HR Africa at Metso from October 2015 to September 2017. Carmen's career also includes serving as the Human Resources Director at Coca-Cola Shanduka Beverages from October 2009 to January 2015, as well as working as an HR Business Partner at Unilever from June 2008 to June 2009 and at Absa from October 2005 to May 2008.

Carmen Theron earned a Master's degree in Business and Executive Coaching from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2017-2018. Prior to that, they completed a Honours degree in Employment Relations at the University of Johannesburg from 2003-2005. Carmen also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, which they obtained from 1994-1997. Additionally, they attended Harding Secondary School. Furthermore, Carmen holds a Master's degree in Leadership from the University of Johannesburg and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Hydrology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
