Artemis Nikolaidou-Vichou

Artemis Nikolaidou-Vichou has a diverse range of work experience. Artemis started their career as a Work Placement at The Stephen Lawrence Gallery in 2012, where they worked as a Curator's Assistant and also handled photography and design tasks. Artemis then moved on to work as a Curator for a Private Collection, where they organized, cataloged, and assessed artworks. Artemis also researched market values of the artworks and photographed the collection.

Artemis has also worked at the Museum of the City of Athens, taking on roles such as Exhibitions' Guide, Translator (Greek-English), and Cataloger for the Silver Collection. In these positions, they offered guided tours to student-visitors, translated documents, and photographed, researched, and cataloged silver items.

Artemis has also gained experience at the OSTRALE - Zentrum für zeitgenössische Kunst as a Freelance Project Manager and Intern. In these roles, they scouted and selected artists, liaised with artists, galleries, and curators, and provided support for artists in residence. Artemis also worked on translating, proofreading, editing, and designing promotional material.

Artemis has worked as a PA to the Project Coordinator at Jugend & Kulturprojekt e.V., where they were responsible for the daily running of projects, team organization, and project presentations. Artemis also represented the organization in international events abroad.

Artemis has also worked as a Photographer (expert) at Stiftung Bauhaus Dessau, where they digitized the Foundation's 2D archive and performed maintenance and disassembly of equipment. At ibautech MANV GmbH, they worked as a PA to the CEO, handling various tasks including real estate support and updating the company's photographic portfolio.

Artemis has experience in the art world, having worked as a VAT Data Analyst at Christie's, where they cleared the VAT backlog of sales and monitored items in Temporary Admission. Artemis also volunteered as a Customer Experience Volunteer and later took on the role of Project Assistant at the Imperial War Museums. In these positions, they engaged with visitors, ensured their safety, and provided them with information. Artemis also worked on financial report compilation, purchase order raising, and expense claiming.

Artemis's most recent work experience is as an Enquiries Officer at NSPCC, where they are currently employed.

Artemis Nikolaidou-Vichou has a diverse education history. Artemis completed their Master of Arts (MA) degree in History of Arts and Museum Curating at the University of Sussex from 2011 to 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Honours degree in Fine Arts from the University for the Creative Arts from 2008 to 2011. As part of their undergraduate studies, they also participated in the Erasmus Exchange Program at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) in 2010, focusing on Fine and Studio Arts.

Artemis also has a First Aid certification from St Johns Ambulance, which they obtained in 2019.
