Joshua Simpson has a diverse work experience that spans over several industries. Joshua started their career as a Music Instructor at IRC Music in 2002 and continued in this role until 2013. Then, they transitioned into the field of IT security and worked as an IT Security Specialist at Section 9 Security, llc from 2013 to 2015. Following this, they joined IBM as an Advisory IT Specialist in 2015, specializing in InfoSphere Guardium. In 2017, they joined Imperva as a Consultant in Professional Services, and later moved on to become a Principal Technical Trainer & Curriculum Developer. In this role, they were responsible for creating and delivering training programs globally to customers, partners, and internal employees.

Joshua Simpson completed their education with a Master of Science degree in Learning Experience Design and Education Technology from Western Governors University in 2023. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in European History from Indiana University Indianapolis between 2006 and 2012. Additionally, they obtained various certifications including ITIL Foundations Certification in IT Service Management from PeopleCert in 2019, CompTIA A+ certification from CompTIA in 2014, and QualysGuard Certified Specialist certification from Qualys - Vulnerability Management in 2014.
