Yuantai Du

Yuantai Du has a strong and diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Yuantai began their career at EMC as a Software Engineer in 1999 before moving on to CareTools Inc. as a Software Engineer in 2000. Yuantai then worked at Sun Microsystems as a Member of Technical Staff, where they made significant contributions to the development of Availability Suite 4.0 and added support to Solaris 10 and AMD x86 platform. In 2007, they joined EMC Computer Systems as a Principal Software Engineer.

In 2010, Yuantai became a Principal Software Engineer at Egenera, where they led the development of PAN for ESXi kernel drivers and applications. Yuantai also contributed to the development of the Heartbeat Linux client and worked on the support for PAN on various blade systems.

From 2012 to 2014, Yuantai worked as a Member of Technical Staff at Riverbed Technology before joining OneCloud Software as a Principal Software Engineer. Yuantai then moved on to Infinio Systems as a Principal Software Engineer from 2015 to 2018, followed by a role as a Principal Software Engineer at Tervela from 2016 to 2018.

Yuantai's most recent role is as a Cloud Engineer at Import.io, where they are currently employed. Throughout their career, Yuantai has demonstrated a deep expertise in software engineering, specifically in the fields of cloud engineering, kernel drivers, applications development, and storage virtualization.

Yuantai Du has a strong educational background with degrees in both Computer Science and Physics. Yuantai began their education journey in 1983 at Wuxi Furen high school, where they completed their high school education. In 1989, they enrolled at Nanjing University and pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, which they successfully obtained in 1993. Following this, Yuantai Du furthered their education at Peking University from 1994 to 1997 and earned a Master of Science degree in Physics. In 1997, they briefly attended Case Western Reserve University to study Physics, although no degree was mentioned. Finally, Yuantai Du completed their academic pursuits at Northeastern University from 1998 to 2000, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science.
