Bondhan Kimbalazani

Principal Technical Artist at Improbable

Bondhan Kimbalazani has a diverse work experience in the field of technical art. Bondhan started their career as an Environment Artist at Infinite Frameworks Studios in 2007, where they specialized in modeling props and locations. Bondhan then moved on to Sparky Animation as a Senior CG Artist, where they focused on modeling characters and props and creating shaders.

In 2008, Bondhan joined Codemasters as a Vehicle Artist, working on games such as Dirt 2 and F1 2010. Bondhan later joined Bohemia Interactive Simulations as a Senior Artist in 2011, before transitioning to Rocksteady Studios Ltd as an Assets/Environment Artist. At Rocksteady, they worked on projects like Batman Arkham Knight and Batman Arkham VR, with responsibilities ranging from managing outsourced work to developing benchmark assets and creating interactable objects.

Bondhan then joined Arm in 2016 as a Senior Technical Artist and played a key role in developing technical demos showcasing ARM Mali mobile GPU features. Bondhan also worked as a Senior Technical Artist at Unity from 2019 to 2021, before moving on to Niantic, Inc. as a Technical Artist. At Niantic, they worked on an AR/geospatial project, collaborating with different teams to develop features and creative solutions.

Most recently, Bondhan worked as a Lead Technical Artist at Superbloom, where they focused on optimizing processes and developing tools for Blender, Unity, Google Sheet, and Retool. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Technical Artist at Improbable.

Bondhan Kimbalazani studied Visual Communication Design at Universitas Negeri Malang, earning a BA degree.
