Lead QA Engineer (manager) at Improbable

Ollie Wood has a solid background in quality assurance and software engineering. Ollie started their career as a Runner at Brown Eyed Boy Productions in 2012. In the same year, they also became the Film and Media Secretary at UEA Feminist Society and the Section Editor for the Gaming section at Concrete - the UEA's Official Student Newspaper. In 2013, they joined Amazon as a Quality Assurance Engineer II, where they focused on test automation and managing on-premises QA contractors. Ollie co-founded Abstract Magazine in 2014, taking on the roles of Co-founder & Editor, where they commissioned, edited, and wrote content and maintained the website. Ollie also organized showcase events in London. In 2017, they became a Quality Assurance Engineer II at Improbable and worked on various roles, including Lead QA Engineer (Manager). Ollie's responsibilities at Improbable included test automation, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and mentoring developers and junior testers. In 2021, they joined Bearwaves as a Producer & QA.

Ollie Wood attended Roundwood Park School from 2004 to 2010, completing their high school education. They then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Television at the University of East Anglia from 2010 to 2013. In 2014, Ollie obtained certification as an ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) from the International Software Testing Qualifications Board.
