Sławomir Biernacki

Sławomir Biernacki has extensive work experience in software engineering and development. Sławomir is currently a Principal Software Engineer at Improbable since October 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Software Engineer at Improbable from August 2021 to October 2023.

Before joining Improbable, Sławomir worked at Monzo Bank as a Backend Engineer from August 2019 to August 2020. During their time at Monzo Bank, they worked on and owned core lending services, built the first Monzo credit score product, and automated multiple back office processes.

Sławomir also has experience as a Senior Software Engineer at Charlotte Tilbury Beauty, where they successfully delivered a re-platform project, led release process automation, and trained other engineers in platform-oriented tasks. Sławomir also worked as a Backend Engineer at Charlotte Tilbury Beauty, where their responsibilities included delivering core services, supporting AWS service provisioning and administration, participating in incident resolution, and organizing platform tooling workshops for other developers.

Earlier in their career, Sławomir worked as a Software Engineer at Sendit S.A. from June 2015 to May 2018, where they introduced DevOps culture, divided a monolith into containerized microservices, and implemented new services and external systems integration. Sławomir also worked as a Java Developer at SOFTITI from July 2014 to May 2015, where they completed a CMS solution project for a music company and supervised junior testers.

Additionally, Sławomir has experience as a Java Developer at European Financial Stability Fund Sp. z o. o. and Euro Bank S.A. for short durations in 2014 and 2013, respectively.

Sławomir Biernacki completed their education at the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. Sławomir obtained their Engineer's degree in Computer Science from 2010 to 2014 and subsequently pursued Master's studies in Intelligent Systems from 2014 to 2016. In addition to their formal education, Sławomir Biernacki has also obtained several certifications, including CKAD: Certified Kubernetes Application Developer from The Linux Foundation in 2023, Google Associate Cloud Engineer from Google in 2018, and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon in 2018. Sławomir has also completed additional courses such as Architecting with Google Cloud Platform Specialization and Machine Learning on Coursera.
