Beth Stannard, MS, CCRP, CCRC has extensive experience in clinical operations and clinical affairs. Beth currently serves as the Director of Clinical Operations at Scilex Pharmaceuticals, where they have co-developed multiple Phase I, II, and III study protocols. Beth is responsible for the development of the first epidural steroid pain-relieving injectable and an innovative lidocaine topical system for the treatment of lower back pain.

In their previous roles, Beth worked as the Clinical Operations Team Leader at Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma America, overseeing complex international trials for acute cervical spinal cord injury. Beth also led an observational study to assess clinical outcome measures for patients with traumatic low cervical spinal cord injury. Additionally, Beth served as the Director of Clinical Operations at ImStem Biotechnology, Inc., GEn1E Lifesciences Inc., and Biohaven Pharmaceuticals.

Prior to these roles, Beth held positions as the Director of Clinical Affairs at Relievant Medsystems, Inc., the Director of Clinical Operations at Sorrento Therapeutics, Inc., and the Director of Clinical Programs at Cervel Neurotech. Beth also worked as the Director of US Clinical Operations at BrainStorm Cell Therapeutics and as a Manager in Clinical Development at InterMune.

Beth Stannard, MS, CCRP, CCRC has a strong educational background in the field of clinical research. Beth obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from the University of Arizona between 1997 and 2000, specializing in Biology with minors in Chemistry, Physics, Math, and Psychology. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Post-graduate Certificate in Clinical Trials Design & Management from the University of California, Santa Cruz from 2004 to 2008. Most recently, they completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Clinical Research Organization and Management at Drexel University College of Medicine between 2013 and 2019.

In addition to their academic achievements, Beth Stannard holds two certifications in the field of clinical research. Beth became a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator in November 2003 through the Association of Clinical Research Professionals. Furthermore, they obtained the certification of Certified Clinical Research Professional in June 2008, accredited by the Society of Clinical Research Associates.
