Tim Haines

Tim Haines is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across various companies in the life sciences and medical device sectors. As Managing Director and Executive Partner at Abingworth since September 2005, Tim has overseen significant developments including Abingworth's integration into Carlyle in August 2022. Additional roles include Chair at TenU and Non-Executive Chair at IMU Biosciences, both starting in 2024, along with serving as an Advisory Board Member at Oxford University Innovation since January 2022. Previously, Tim was the CEO of Astex Pharmaceuticals and held various key positions at Datascope, Telectronics Pacing Systems, Thackary Orthopedic, and Baxter International. Tim holds an MBA from INSEAD and has participated in a Strategic Marketing Course at Harvard Business School, complemented by a BSc Hons from the University of Exeter.
