Samantha Garcia Smith has worked for three different companies since 2009. Samantha began their career at Temple University - Lewis Katz School of Medicine as a Neurovirology Laboratory Technician in 2009. In 2011, they moved to Thomas Jefferson University, where they held the roles of PhD Research Fellow and PhD Candidate. In 2018, they joined Imvax, Inc. as a Process Development Analysis Lead and Process Technology Specialist Scientist Consultant.

Samantha Garcia Smith received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from Temple University from 2007 to 2011. Samantha then went on to receive their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Microbiology and Immunology from Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals from 2011 to 2018. In 2016 to 2018, they also obtained a Certificate in Clinical Research and Trial Implementation from Thomas Jefferson University. Additionally, they obtained a Clinical Research & Trial Implementation certification from Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals in June 2018.
