The Opportunity

InCharge Energy is seeking a detail-oriented Service Administrator to support customer service needs at our Los Angeles Lighting and Electrical Branch. Service is the core of the LA Office, we are growing a large list of lighting and electrical service customers while adding Electric Vehicle Service Equipment (EVSE) installation and maintenance services to our capabilities. The Service Administrator will be part of our LA Team, be based in Bellflower, CA, and report to the Service Department Manager of our LA operation. Key aspects of this role include routing of service technicians, customer service, administrative support for project work, billing, and other administrative functions.

What You’ll Do

  • Interface directly with customers for receipt/entry/update of work orders, acceptance of proposals, job status, etc.
  • Schedule service and project work at customer job locations, including ordering of needed materials and equipment (lifts) and coordination with third parties (property managers/inspectors/etc.) as needed
  • Review work orders on a daily basis, correct as needed, update internal and external software and systems as needed, and provide phone/email/portal updates to customers as applicable
  • Route service technicians (for the next day) by 3PM each day based on technician skill/availability for the tasks involved, equipment/materials type and availability, geographic efficiency, customer SLAs
  • Receive, accept, and dispatch (or decline) emergency calls based on availability of technicians and equipment, job profitability, and customer SLAs
  • Create proposals in SalesForce and excel as applicable by entering customer-specific labor rates and materials prices
  • Create invoices in SalesForce by entering customer-specific labor rates and materials prices
  • Coordinate with customer representatives and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure that all services and projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget
  • Represent the company with the highest standards of professional conduct
  • Perform risk management to minimize work-related risks
  • Comply with company-mandated online training and attend periodic company meetings and training as required to maintain proficiency and enhance skills
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Participate in voluntary emergency after hours on-call dispatching

Your Experience and Capabilities

  • 5+ years of experience in the electrical service industry
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Good skills with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Good skills with (or quickly able to learn) Adobe Pro, SalesForce and other software systems and customer portals
  • Enterprising, self-starter attitude
  • Adaptable to the changing dynamics of start-up business strategy
  • Proven working experience in service operations
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Proficient with basic mobile phone, tablet, and computer-based applications
  • Detail-oriented, resourceful, diligent, and able to operate independently with limited supervision (completing assigned work accurately and in a timely manner)

Physical and Environmental Demands

  • Included but not limited to the following: lifting, bending, climbing, kneeling, reaching, sitting, standing, working from ladders, walking, working in extreme temperatures (cold/heat), confined quarters, excessive noise, and high voltage
US Hourly Range
$25$28 USD
