Sivan Young serves as the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Digital Transformation and Strategy at In-Common Laboratories since April 2023. Prior to this role, Sivan held multiple leadership positions at Sunnybrook from January 2010 to March 2023, including Director of Digital Health, Virtual Care and Integration, and Director of Digital and Visual Communications. Early career experiences include writing for Findhelp Information Services/211 Central and internships at The Walrus and Eye Weekly Magazine. Sivan also served as Editor in Chief at On the Danforth Magazine and held various roles at United Way of Greater Toronto and Ontario Public Service. Educational credentials include a B.A. Honours in Political Studies from Queen's University and an M.A. in Political Science from York University, complemented by further studies at Centennial College.

In-Common Laboratories was founded in 1967 as a co-operative endeavour among three hospital laboratories (Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto General Hospital, and the Ottawa Civic Hospital) and funded as a pilot project through the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. Due to the model's success, ICL was incorporated as a not-for-profit in 1975. In-Common Laboratories is a private, not-for-profit company that has worked with public hospitals and laboratory medicine providers since 1967. Our Canadian and US based strategic reference laboratory partnerships provide the best solutions to our clients. We provide value-added services that extend the technical and production expertise of hospital laboratories to benefit the entire health care community. In-Common Labs manages a sophisticated and complex laboratory testing referral network. The company operates as a full service brokerage, matching requested tests with the most appropriate providers.
