Fitia R. has a diverse work experience in the field of GIS (Geographic Information Systems). Fitia started as an Orientation Leader at Towson University New Student & Family Programs in 2018. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as a Geographic Information Systems Specialist Intern at the Bureau of Land Management and later as a Geographic Information Systems Technician at Towson University Center for GIS. In 2020, they joined Maxar Technologies as a Geospatial Analyst for a brief period before moving on to BMT, where they worked as a GIS Specialist at NOSSA, Department of Navy. In 2022, they joined Forge Forward Inc. as a GIS Analyst at NOSSA, Department of Navy. Currently, they are working as a GIS Solutions Engineer at Consular Affairs, Department of State at INCATech - Innovative Computing & Applied Technology.

Fitia R. began their education at Hammond High School from 2013 to 2016, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Fitia then attended Towson University from 2016 to 2020, where they earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Geography & Environmental Planning, with a focus on Geographic Information Science. Afterward, Fitia pursued further studies at Johns Hopkins University Advanced Academic Programs from 2021 to 2023, where they are currently working towards a Master of Science (MS) degree in Geographic Information Systems. In addition to their formal education, Fitia has obtained certifications in Cloud Governance and Serverless Computing from LinkedIn in October 2021.
