Wallace Soares has a diverse background in software engineering and research. Wallace started their career as a Teach Assistant at the Federal University of Pernambuco, where they contributed to courses on Introduction to Programming and Society and Computing. In 2015, they began their first role as a Software Engineer Intern at CESAR, where they gained experience in manual testing of WiFi features on Android devices and developed a Python-based system to manage and control routers for accelerated WiFi tests.
Wallace then continued their work at CESAR, progressing to the role of Software Engineer. In this position, they took on responsibilities such as code cleanup, leading cybersecurity initiatives, and using the Symfony Framework in PHP for software development. Wallace also worked on a low precision location system based on routers, focusing on spatial awareness and creating web interfaces using tools like Mongo, NodeJS, C, Arduino, and Linux Server.
In 2020, Wallace joined the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco as a Researcher, where they conducted research activities until 2021. Following this, they joined Thoughtworks in 2022 as a Development Consultant, contributing their expertise to various projects within the organization.
Currently, Wallace is working at Incognia as a Software Engineer, starting in 2023. In this role, they have been involved in developing a high-demand system with millions of requests daily, coordinating deploys with clients, and collaborating with the DA team on new integrations.
