Struan Bourke

Struan Bourke is a highly experienced scientist with a robust background in biophysics and biotechnology. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist at Indee Labs since September 2023, Struan previously held similar roles at CellFE Biotech and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of California, San Francisco, where significant contributions included developing a modular live-cell fluorescent barcode and enhancing magnetic cell sorting techniques. Struan's earlier experience encompasses a PhD in Biophysics from King's College London, research roles establishing a cardiac pathology unit at St George's, University of London, and contributions to Public Health England and the University of Massachusetts. Struan has demonstrated expertise in fluorescent imaging, cloning strategies, fluorescent probe design, and CRISPR technology, with a focus on improving methodologies in biological imaging and detection assays.
