Steven Hayes

Steven Hayes is an experienced Rig Manager with a strong background in drilling operations. Currently serving as Rig Manager at Independence Contract Drilling since September 2022, Steven previously held the same position at Patterson-UTI from January 2017 to September 2022 and at Sidewinder Drilling Inc. from May 2012 to October 2013. Steven's career also includes significant drilling experience with Seadrill Careers and Helmerich & Payne, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of various rig types, including Keppel B class and Super 116 C class rigs. Steven graduated from Jena High School in 2001 with a diploma in Oil and Gas.
