Richard Burgener

Richard Burgener has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Richard started their career at Salt Lake County Library Services as a Shelver, where they were responsible for sorting and shelving library materials. Richard then transitioned to the role of Customer Service Specialist, assisting patrons with their library accounts and conducting training sessions on the new RFID system.

In 2009, Richard joined Salt Lake County Animal Services as a Microsystems Analyst. In this role, they served as a Database Administrator for the primary database software and handled various responsibilities such as installing and maintaining software, fixing errors, and providing technical support. Richard also utilized Crystal Reports and SQL queries to extract and analyze data, prepared reports, and implemented mobile configurations for outreach events.

After their tenure at Salt Lake County Animal Services, Richard joined HLP as a Technical Solutions Specialist in 2014. In this position, they provided high-quality technical support to software users, generated technical documentation, and tested software updates and changes for bug fixes and user experience improvements.

Currently, Richard is working at Independence Pet Group as a Software Developer. Richard is responsible for maintaining and developing features for an in-house ASP.NET MVC product and is also involved in developing a client-facing ASP application.

Richard Burgener attended Western Governors University from 2006 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Information Technology. Richard also briefly attended the University of Utah for Pre-Computer Science but did not complete a degree there.
